Grade 1 Science Fair

Today we had the amazing opportunity to view the Grade 1s and the structures they had built! They were very excited to share what they had learnt! Various buildings and bridges galore! The grade 1s, and they're teachers had put together this event to showcase what they learn in class! We had gathered around the big gym to view their take on a soiree!

They have shown how they built they're structures, the materials they had used, and their experiences. while walking around their event, I had asked a few of the kids some questions such as "What Was Their Favorite Part"? Or "How Long Did It Take You To Make This"?. They were very eager to respond. One child had said that her favorite part, was when her structure had broke, and she "had to build it all over again" and got to build it with the help of her mom. Talk about initiative! Another builder had said that he liked gluing his pieces together multiple times, in order to see  how strong he could make his structure! Wow, these kids are only in Grade 1 and have so much ambition! The creativity was visible! Some kids had created a bird-feeder, and there was even a lighthouse with a working LED! I had enjoyed seeing how excited these children were to show off their science skills!

Can't wait to see more extraordinary events from the grade 1s to come!
